Announce Opening of New 28-Bed Long Term Acute Care Hospital

MECHANICSBURG, PA (DETROIT, MI), June 21, 2016 - Vibra Healthcare, LLC (“Vibra”) and Detroit Medical Center (“DMC”) Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan announced today the opening of a new Vibra long term acute care hospital (LTACH) that will occupy 28 beds and 16,000 square feet on the 2nd and 7th floors of Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan at 261 Mack Avenue, Detroit, MI.

The new LTACH is named Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Michigan – DMC Campus and will share clinical programs, services, and administration with Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Michigan, located on West Outer Drive in Lincoln Park, MI.  The DMC Campus will host an open house on June 30th and plans to begin admitting patients on July 1st.

When fully occupied, Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Michigan – DMC Campus will have approximately 60 employees, with all Registered Nurses and Respiratory Therapists on staff being ACLS certified. Features of the new hospital will include: 8 private patient rooms, 10 semi-private rooms, and a rehabilitation therapy gym located on the 2nd floor.

The new Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Michigan – DMC Campus will specialize in the treatment of patients with a variety of complex medical needs, including those who are recovering from illnesses such as strokes, cardiac and respiratory diseases, neurological and spinal cord injuries, multiple traumas, and wounds.
